Fridge Pal keeps track of the food and household things you already own — what you have, where it lives, and how long it has left. Scan it, snap the receipt, or just type it. Below, the whole feature set as a checklist.

• Everything you own, in one place. Fridge, freezer, pantry — or whatever storage areas you actually have, named by you. Food and household goods both, across 36 categories.
• Scan the barcode. Point the camera at a barcode and the name, the brand and a sensible use-by date fill themselves in.
• Or just photograph the receipt. Snap a receipt — or the haul itself, sitting on the counter — and it comes back as a list you tick and correct, instead of thirty things to type.
• It knows what's about to turn. Every item carries a date: the one on the label, or an estimate from what kind of thing it is and where you put it. Household goods don't get one, because they don't need one.
• And it tells you before it does. Expiry reminders arrive on your phone, so the thing at the back of the shelf is not a discovery.
• Shopping lists that know your shops. Keep a list per shop. Your phone notices when you've arrived at one and brings up the right list.
• Cook what's about to go off. Ask for recipes built around the items closest to their date, then send whatever you're missing straight to a shopping list.
• One fridge, four front doors. The app, the web, your terminal, or chatting with Claude — same fridge, same list, whichever you reach for.
• Shared by default. A household is a workspace: invite the people you live with and everyone sees the same shelves.

• See what you're actually throwing away. Every item you finish or bin is already kept as history — turning that into a straight answer about what you waste is the next thing.
• Reminders everywhere, not just on your phone. Expiry nudges by email and in chat, for the people who don't keep the app on their home screen.
• Plan a week from what you already have. Not “what shall we eat” from nothing — a week built around what's already in the fridge and what needs using first.
• What the shop actually costs you. Prices against the things you buy, so a list can tell you what it'll come to before you're at the till.
